Writing: Unfortunately, I didn't read issue #2. I don't say this because I missed major plot lines or felt lost while reading issue #3. No, it's unfortunate because I really enjoy this story and I would have liked to have read it just for the entertainment of it.
This issue focuses mainly on the possibility that Charlie is double crossing Nick. Also, we get to meet some of the cities crime bosses which helps set up some angst between Nick and Charlie. Another good issue from Viper Comics.
Artwork: I really enjoy this almost "Powers" like artwork in this story. It really adds to the feel of the story.
Overall: 4 stars. Good story and good artwork. A great combination.
Ron Miller
Writing: The plot spiked up the drama factor considerably in this issue. I have to admit, I was impressed that it was able to pull this off without seriously crippling the integrity of the plot, which often happens when it suddenly gets this heavy.
Artwork: One of the highest points in this series for me would have to be the character designs.
Overall: 4 stars. I'm ready for more of this series. No question.

Writing: I missed issue #2, but this issue had a brief recap on the cover page. Nick is well into his life of crime at this point, with all the double crossing and backstabbing that entails. I think this issue does a great job delving into the inter-character conflicts and issues, deconstructing the classical hero and villian roles into more realistic and believable versions.
Artwork: Nicely gritty.
Overall: 4 stars. These are villians you can believe in.
Robert Weiman
Writing: This issue did a great job furthering the story as well as filling in necessary info to enhance the storyline. Cobb is a rat and Nick is getting deeper and deeper in. This was a well crafted issue with a lot going on. I thought the balance between story and backstory was admirably done and very engrossing.
Artwork: Stark and simple. A nice addition to the issue.
Overall: 4 stars. Overall this was a very good read with a lot of definition and description provided in this comic. So far this has been a worthwhile read.
