Writing: The super real gang get their enhancements and have their first challenge. The mock of reality TV is great and the enhancements to the characters helps flesh out the story. While the characters are vapid I found that they worked with the storyline and moved it along. This was a good spoof of realtiy TV
Artwork: Pretty straight up art work. Although it definitely panders to the folks who like fantasy women and men drawn into comics.
Overall: 4 stars. Probably the biggest problem with this title is that it takes too long to follow with the next issue. It's kind of like waiting for the next season of the Soprano's to come out on DVD, by the time it happens I've forgotten the previous issue.

Writing: There was this kind of overbearing satire vibe of the whole issue that I found really difficult to shake. Ok, so the network heads are supposed to be Bush and Cheney... Um...great! Ok...so TV is oversexed and reality TV contestants are overwhelmingly alcoholic fraternity and sorority kiddies... Nice also. Maybe I'm just a sucker for some kind of witty or subtle jab over parading a corpse through the streets, but this tried a little too hard.
Artwork: Visually, there was plenty of potential in this comic - if only the writing and characters capitalized on it...
Overall: 2 stars. I'll hand it to the creators of Super Real - they're trying to do something witty and funny here. I just can't shake the feeling that, so far, they're leaving all but those without TV sets cold and just preaching to the choir.

Writing: This issue has the contestants equipped with their super powers, going through their first challenges, and trying to pick super hero names for each other. As with the first two issues, it was pretty funny, with a number of pop culture references. It also delved a little more into most of the characters' backstories, having them reveal things that they had previously lied about.
Artwork: The artwork is appropriately outrageous, doing a good job of lampooning a number of pop culture staples simultaneously. Having the powers activate and the suits change by twisting the nipple was a nice touch.
Overall: 4 stars. The only thing that I am not liking about this title is the amount of time I have to wait for the next issue!

Writing: After falling in love with the first issue of this series, I have set the bar pretty high for this title. Issue three was OK to me but just didn't move along at a pace that I would have liked. We learned about the different contestants powers, so that was a big plus, and the dialog was witty and entertaining. But I just couldn't help wanting more from this issue...it could just be that bar that I have set.
Artwork: The good, I like the style of the artwork and there was a nice pinup and poster in the middle of the issue. Also, Mr. Martin has no issues with showing the female form (and a lot of it!!)
The bad, lets just say that there are 80-100 panels in the book (I obviously didn't count them) I would say that there must be about 40-50 unique panels (again I didn't count them). What I'm trying to say is that there are a ton of like panels with very small changes on them...somehow I felt a bit cheated, I like the artwork and want to see more original drawings.
Overall: 3 stars. A little bit of a disappointment to me. I hope the next issue can draw me back in as the first issue did.
