Writing: Girl gets message in a bottle only to find that the boy who sent it has become a superstar. I thought this was well done for what it was. I'm not a big follower of girl meets superstar dream come true storylines, but I thought this was done pretty well. Short of some crap about fate I thought this was a pretty interesting plot. The story was easy to follow and was very straightforward. Not a bad read for this type of comic.
Artwork: The art worked for this story. It was subdued and easy on the eyes.
Overall: 3 stars. This comic while not really a favorite genre for me was well done. Probably would have graded it higher if I was into this genre.

Writing: I have to say that I do not feel like the target audience for this book. That being said, I think they did a good job on it. I tend to have a tougher time suspending belief for books that use a more real-life type setting, but I could sort of get past her getting picked out of the crowd for the photo-shoot.
Artwork: I liked the watercolor cover. The interior artwork worked well, with only one or two animated doll emotional overreaction frames that are irritating but typical in this genre.
Overall: 3 stars. I think this issue might have been a four if I was a teenage girl, but I am not. It was still a decent story, though.

Writing: This story seems to be aimed at the young female teen audience. I am not of that demographic but I still thought it was a decent one shot for the genre. If you really like stories involving fate or serendipity, then this could be a book for you.
The story itself was fine though it moved along very quicky since it is a single issue story. The dialog was decent and conveyed what needed to be said to keep the story interesting.
Artwork: The artwork was OK. I'm not a big fan of some of the over the top expressions that are commonly seen in anime, but I didn't hate the artwork overall.
Overall: 3 stars. OK story aimed at a different demographic than I am a part of.
