Writing:  This was a real quick read. I gotta admit as I was transcribing the supplied description of this one I was thinking that this sounds hokey, however after reading this issue it ended up working for me. Because this was a ten page prelude the story only strated getting rolling, but a lot was packed in the ten pages to draw me in. We begin to see the dynamics between David and Todd and the interplay is of two good friends. Motivations for assassination are only beginning to be explored but the cynicism is starting to come out as well as some subtle humor.

Artwork: The art was very well done and easy to follow. I liked the depiction of the ghosts and I thought that the characters were drawn nicely. For the most part very straightforward comic art.

Overall:  4 stars. This was a good first issue. There was enough in this comic to begin to draw me into the story as well as an open endedness that primes me for future issues. I'm looking forward to the next issue in this series.

Writing: This was a very interesting story about an assassin who can see and interact with the ghosts of the people he has assassinated, and possibly other ghosts.  Two ghosts stick around to hang out with him, his dead wife and a friend who he killed.  There are some interesting dynamics going on that will hopefully be explored in upcoming issues.

Artwork: It worked for the story.  I was not sure about the blue glow look for the ghosts at first, but in the end I think it was a good choice.

Overall: 4 stars.  An enjoyable read with an interesting premise.  I am very curious to see what they do with this story.

Robert Weiman

Writing: I agree with everything that Bob and Stefan wrote, but I have one big issue with this story thus far. The "star" of the book isn't particularly likable at this point.

Now, I'm guessing that he will be made into a sympathetic killer in later issues and you'll find out that he is doing this killing to people who have done really bad things (or at least I hope so) but as of this issue, he basically said he's killing someone because of the money.  Is this the hero of the book?

I really hope this is all cleared up soon, because other than this one problem that I have with the story, the writing is compelling and no dialog is wasted.

Artwork: The artwork was fine. It seemed to fit in nicely with the story.

Overall: 3 stars. Would have gone with four stars, but just couldn't like the hero enough. I'm very much looking forward to see if the writer is going to explain the emotion free attitude of the hero in issue 2 or not.
