Writing:  I thought this issue compared to issue one seemed to come together a bit better and lose some of it's meandering aspects. I found myself being a bit more captivated with the characters and the story. There were some strange side subpolts that I'm not really sure where they're going but on the whole I though this issue was definately moving in the right direction.

Artwork: I liked the starkness of the artwork. The lines were clear and the shading was minimal. I thought this added to the overall aneseptic quality of the society that was being portrayed. I though it fit the tone of the story and enhanced it.

Overall:  3 stars. This issue drew me in better than issue one. I found the story to be more focused and I'd like to see whaere this one is going to go. I'm still not sure what I think of it though so I'm giving a three with hope for future issues.

Writing: This issue dialed back on the preachy aspect, which I appreciated.  I somewhat appreciate the meandering pace of this story, but it feels like it would read a little better in graphic novel form.  I feel like I still do not quite have enough concrete details to be able to associate with Rene' yet.

Artwork: The androgenous nature of some of the characters is still a little disturbing to me.  Other than having to remind myself of some of the character's genders, the art works well.

Overall: 3 stars. The series is okay so far, but some things still are not clicking with me to take it up to the next level.

Writing: This is an odd one for me.  The first half of the book I was thinking to myself "what in gods name is going on here?"  In second half, the book got a bit more focused for me and I started to actually see a storyline. This started to get me to pay attention more to what was happening and to get me to care more.

I think if the book had ended as it has started, I may have never wanted to see another one of these again.  But since it did move in an interesting direction, I'm now curious where it is going.

Artwork: It was OK for me. Most of the scenes seemed to not show much in them other than the characters.  But there where some fairly detailed one tossed in here and there.

Overall: 3 stars. 1 star for the first half and 3 for the second.  But since it ended stronger and made me wonder what was next, I'll give it a three.
