Review: This was a neat modernization of some Norse characters. Sadly, I was a little slow to make the connection with the protagonists name, costing me some mythology geek cred. To my credit, the progtagonist isn't one of the big names in the Norse Pantheon. But that made the book even more interesting for me.
Overall: 4 stars. This was a great straightforward action/coming of 'age' story.

Review: I loved this book. When I later learned that this was the first original Graphic Novel from this publisher, I thought to myself "I hope people find this book so that I can see more in the future".
The story really reads well with some surprises along the way and an ending that makes me want to read more about these characters. Add on to this artwork that while not revolutionary in its styling, is very appealing and fit the tone of the story very well.
I would say if there was one isssue with the story for me it was the the middle sections (don't really want to give anything away) sort of repeated itself a little bit to long...but that is a minor point for me.
Overall: 5 stars. When I read comics I generally have one mission in mind...to be entertained, this book did just that and did it well.
