Review: Ok, in the absence of a summary of this mini-comic anywhere on the interwebs written by its creator, I'll see about summing it up. Basically, Tumescence is a coming-of-age type story. The only catch is that it focuses purely on sexual coming-of-age and all of the awkwardness, bizarre parental conversations, and hormonal insanity that goes along with it. Frankly, I couldn't stop laughing as I read this. I couldn't stop laughing because I was there and it was raunch in a bucket at the time. With the benefit of hindsight, it's hilarious and I sincerely hope it always will be.
It may be a purely male perspective on this, but sex is usually the one arena in which a person can and will do the most obscenely stupid things and in which they will be completely incapable of covering up for it. At no point is this more true than in one's teens. Some may find this kind of thing a little too voyeuristic for their tastes, but there's just as likely a chance that anybody reading this will have to laugh and find at least one experience from their own dusty past to connect to it.
