Review:  We were only sent a short preview of this issue, which I would have guessed would handicap the review.  Honestly, I was riveted throughout.  The action incorporates some brains, keeping this from degrading into an orgy of hack, slash, and shoot.  I appreciated the subtlety that was woven into the story.  No one element, graphically or otherwise really felt like it was beating you over the head (even if our protagonist was being beaten over his at the time).

All told, this has to be one of the best and most promising action stories I've read in some time - it pulls all the right tricks and balances action, history, character, and gadgetry and fully immerses you in what's going on; effortlessly at that!  Definitely worth a read.

Overall: 4 stars.

Review: This new story arc picks up right after the initial story finished, with the Black Coat underwater along with the murderer who had been stealing body parts. Ursula rescues his body, and the mayhem resumes from there. I don't want to spoil any surprises, so I'll wrap it up with my opinion that this title continues to be one of the best written adventure stories out there.

Overall: 4 stars. The blend of history, gadgets, and swashbuckling makes this an irresistable read.

Review:  For the most part, I loved this issue. Of special note, the action is great and the artwork is top notch.  Though I can't say that I love the whole serum slant (read it to find out), but I think the author might be putting a twist on this that could be used well in the future.

I think it's very interesting how the author mixes in well known people from history with these fictional characters and makes it all work.  This continues to be high on my list of stories you should be reading.

Overall: 4 stars. Only a couple of questions about where the storyline might go kept me from giving this five stars....but it isn't far off.
