Writing: The draw of this title is, without question, the characters for me. These are all very distinct and, at times, bizarre characters with their own quirks and personalities. For being two issues in, that this impression has gotten across is pretty impressive.
Artwork: Artistically, I have no idea if this was intentional or not, but there's kind of an idealized vibe about the whole thing that fits in extremely well with our boy, Mathius. His more black and white perspective fits in a little more than literally with the artwork, which is a pretty interesting feat as well.
Overall: 4 stars. This is one of those titles that makes it look almost too easy to make a quality comic. There's plenty here that could either be a brilliant touch or a complete fluke that happened to work well. Anything that keeps me guessing like that will keep me coming back.

Writing: This issue was a great followup to the initial issue. We get to see a meeting of Earthbound Angels Anonymous, meet Cain, and listen to a demon named Serius talk about the joys of driving. I definitely agree with Serius about the need to just drive more.
Overall: 4 stars. I really like this series. I think it strikes a nice balance between the thoughtful and the slightly irreverant.

Writing: I found this book to accomplish what it wanted to...and that is be funny. This story continues the saga of a the lost halo and the angels that are looking to retreive it.
Unfortunately, an unintentionally funny thing happens along the way. The book was so busy with its humor that it seemed to forget that there was a storyline to move along. The first 90% of the book doesn't really bring anything to the table in terms of plot development.
Finally, the end produces some punch, but by then I sort of forgot the point from the first book.
Overall: 3 stars. Fortunately, the book was funny and entertaining...with just a little bit more plot development this would be a four star effort.
