Review: I absolutely loved this book. No question, this is geared for a younger audience, but I found it very entertaining and the characters jumped out at me immediately (something you don't often see in an all-ages title).
The character design was a highlight as, along with the cuteness aspect, there was plenty of creativity thrown around - from the talking mountain, to the Grums, to Bumperboy and Bumperpup.
All told, this title was a lot of fun to read. Granted, it won't win over everybody, but it'll do the trick if you're looking to be entertained and don't need action and gore to get there. Highly recommended for younger readers.
Overall: 4 stars.

Review: This story didn't really do anything to draw me in. There were some interesting touches, like Bumperpup's pictorial language. I was a little surprised to see the Grums in chains in the factory, as that seemed a little gritty for the tone of the book to that point.
Overall: 3 stars. This book came across as just a little too "cutesy" for me at points, like it was trying too hard.

Review: It's always nice to see an all ages book show up here at ICR. This one is about a boy and his pet who happen across a mountain that talks (loudly!). After investigating the mountain, the two heroes need to save said mountain. There is plenty of cuteness to go around but that is somewhat expected by just looking at the cover of the book. Overall I thought the story was farily entertaining though a little slow in the earlier portions of the book.
Overall: 3 stars. Is this book one that I would run out and buy tomorrow? No. But it was a nice little story that I wouldn't have any issues letting my youngsters read....and trust me, there are very few that we receive that I would.
