Writing: I had no opinions one way or the other when it came to the idea of reading a collection of romance stories. They couldn't be too severely awful, right?
As it turned out, that faith was rewarded in that these were not only NOT awful, they actually were a fairly pleasant read. I think the only really issue I could take here was that some of these stories were a little too immaculate. It was a variation on the theme of "two attractive singles meet and hit it off immediately!" I just found that a little too neat and tidy to do more than give me a brief dose of the warm fuzzies.
Artwork: I've noticed that this publishing group likes to visually drop cues from its other series in each issue. So far this isn't too overbearing, but it does take some getting used to.
Overall: 3 stars. This is a very pleasant middle-of-the-road title. I think it's an admirable attempt at an under-utilized genre, but I'd really like to see it delve into some of the shakier forms (or, dare I say, less idealized forms) of romance before I'll really dive in and consider it a serious title.

Writing: Let me preface my review with the warning: Romance is most definitely not my genre. With that out of the way, the three stories in the book were okay. They were semi-believable, which is about the best I can hope for where this genre is concerned.
Overall: 3 stars. The three stories were decent examples of the genre.
Robert Weiman
Writing: I think that I'm the romantic one of the group. I liked the stories that were presented in this issue, but I do agree with Alex, I would like to see some variety in that some of these meetings work and others don't.
My other complaint is that I thought a couple of the stories could have been a bit longer or finished up a bit more cleanly. (are these to be continued similar to the Myriad books put out by the same people?)
With that being said, I just enjoyed the fact that this was different than just about anything else we get, so for that (and since it was pretty well excecuted) I applaud this title.
Overall: 3 stars. A very solid title of a genre that we get VERY little of. It was a nice change.
